…In the middle of the room are two signs. Both with arrows. One says medical doctor to the left. One says guy with shotgun ready to blow your brains out to the right. Now kicks in everything you have ever been taught. Looking down your seeing your losing a lot of blood. But before you fell, you were praying to God and had your Bible in your hand. Your faith lies in Jesus. Knowing you’ll probably die anyway, should I trust in a satanic medical system or just say Lord, I give myself to you and wish I myself had the shotgun while I was alive and did more for you. Sure God I played the part. I said I was a Christian but I just stood by. I just wasted time. I just let the big guys like the pastor or a few select do their thing sacrificing everything while I sat comfy at home doing nothing. Watching T.V. and living like the rest of the world. Secretly watching porn and thinking about next dollar verses next neighbor I’ll witness to. How many dozens, if not hundreds, did I bring to the Lord fills your mind, but you can’t think of anyone. You were to “ashamed” or “in your own zone” or “bashful” or “shy” or whatever fears or silliness that filled your mind verses giving it to the Lord and saying use me God was OK with you. Maybe you got arrogant in your faith. I’m saved and that’s all that matters. Fu*k the world you think to yourself, people suck. Maybe you suck? Sitting there in the pit everything comes to mind how much YOU really did for the Lord. So now a decision has to be made. WHO ARE YOU CHRISTIAN? Damn right God, I’ll stay alive and give all of me this time so I can truly represent you and save souls and put the truth out there and climb that rope to the top. Heal me Lord of all my selfishness and failings. Use me……. Or, you got me God. I’m saved but as far as any fruits or ANYTHING I REALLY DID  for you God, is pretty much nothing as you slowly head right. Why? The earth was in it’s Last Days and what did YOU do ? The harvest is ripe with hurting and lost souls waiting for YOU. You might be the only example and representation of Jesus they ever see in their lives. Their eternal souls are in your hands. Jesus died on the cross and saved YOUR soul and did YOU carry YOUR cross? Did you give it all like the Lord?  Or did you decide to make the choice to sit on the sidelines instead of getting in the game which is totally on YOU. To live just like the world lives. How many people can’t wait to hear you talk about God because you spend a great deal of time reading and learning Gods Word? How many people can’t wait to hear YOU pray? Did YOU Choose to worry about YOU and how you’ll survive verses going door to door and spreading TRUE LIFE AND WE WILL ALL DIE,  and here’s how we will all survive, not materially or physically in this world, but forever in the blood of Jesus and HERE IS TRUE LIFE FOREVER. Mathew 7 :21-23. BAMMMM…Suddenly you wake up to your alarm clock….

Throughout the Bible we see time and time again where God’s own people turn their backs on Him. Some of you reading this have gone backwards in your walk or worse yet never grew and matured in Christ. Maybe prayer is a burden now. Reading Scripture is a burden now. You don’t witness to the lost anymore. Spiritually your dead in the water. Not a good place to be especially when you need to be at your strongest in these Last Days. The term you’ll hear quite often is someone is backsliding. Speaking for myself I can be on fire for God and I let the world to much in and instead of standing on top of the mountain, I find myself in the valleys. Could be for a thousand reasons and definitely not by choice, but this just happens. If it hasn’t happened to you your name must be Jesus or your very good at lying to yourself. Our spiritual journey is likened to a race and making it to the finish line. All through our life their will be challenges, failures, disappointments, and imperfections. Maybe now your worship life is dull. You don’t talk how you used to talk about God. You’re changing. Something is taking over your heart and it must be dealt with now or you’ll just get farther and farther from God. When a Christian backslides people around you will know. Don’t you understand that you might be the only hope that an unbeliever has? Your a light in this very dim world and clearly a example of Jesus. Or are you? When you backslide you are destroying unbelievers of wow, I want and need what they have. Your backsliding can be the reason that someone doesn’t get saved and goes to Hell. Not saying you will always be perfect, but there are those Christians that go from the top off the mountain and don’t just fall a little, they actually jump straight to the bottom and lead meaningless, fruitless Christian lives. When you backslide you go from being a lion to becoming it’s prey. Being a hero and soldier to becoming a coward. You have no power. You have no testimony. You can only talk about the past and the good ol’ days when you first were saved and on fire for the Lord. What happened? God didn’t leave you, you left God. Maybe in little steps in growing as we mature in Christ, you were taking little steps backwards instead. Maybe it started out in your prayers. When you start backsliding in your prayer life you start backsliding everywhere else. What relationship doesn’t start getting cold when the communication gets less and less? Then the next thing you know your reading Gods Word less and less and now strike two as your prayer life is almost non existent.

When you are cold in Spirit and failing in your prayer life you will lose the presence of God. That simple. If sin is creeping back into your life that was once defeated it’s because your going backwards into where you were before you were saved. Is that a possibility? Absolutely. We are trapped in this carnal sinful body till the day we die and get our new glorified bodies. That is the whole reason for the Holy Spirit. He is our helper and provider and what keeps us in the race and on track. The Holy Spirit wants to fill your cup till it overflows, but it’s not if, but when, we go in backslide mode and The Holy Spirit now empty’s from our lives. That can happen over a long time or from one day to the next! Haven’t you ever had the most awesome spirit filled day in your life one time and the next day it’s like the devil himself came into you and you had the opposite kind of day? That’s just life. And God never stops forgiving us or loving us. So if your in backslide mode, the first thing you need to readjust is your prayer life now. Talk to your Father all day and tell Him your issues and downfalls. Your disappointments. Your needs. Maybe you have unforgiven sin you need to dump and get rid of. Some will go backwards from believing all their sins were forgiven and let that freeness go away into thinking maybe you were not really forgiven. That happens especially after your saved and growing in the Lord and fall back into one of your old sins. Maybe God healed you of alcohol or cigarettes and temptation got the best of you. Then guilt plagues you, then instead of turning to God in repentance you go farther and farther away to the point some will think they have even lost their salvation which is impossible. Not a good place to be. You can’t smile anymore. You have no boldness in the face of trials and are easily defeated. You can’t witness anymore. You live as if you have no hope and your life might even become worse off than before you were saved. Then all the people who know you and once saw the light of God see something no different than the world, “if this is his God I don’t want no part of Him.” they will think and because of your backsliding, there are people that used you as a example of Christianity that will now go to Hell based on what they witnessed in you. That should scare the beans out of you if you have backslidden that far. Remember when kids got on their knees and said their prayers over their bed. Maybe it’s time friend for you..Matthew 26:41, Colossians 4:2. Don’t ever think your alone in screwing up and going backwards in your Spiritual walk. The entire Bible is filled with exactly that over and over and time after time. Throughout Scripture we have Israel as our example of continuous backsliding and turning their backs on God and going in the wrong direction. That includes kings, Prophets, leaders, Priests, everyone and anyone, Hosea 5:15, Hosea 11:7, Isaiah 59:12-13, Jeremiah 2:19, Jeremiah 5:6. I could keep listing a thousand more verses of rebellion and backsliding but I’ll make it simple, Read the first five books of the Bible. On the flip side is God always saying merely come back to me and repent and forgiveness is yours. Is there a limit to Gods forgiveness? Yes. Examples are the Israelite’s losing Gods protection and being over run and held captive by enemies. Time after time though from the minute they were freed from Egypt until the time of Jesus appearing they screwed up and God would finally have to say that’s it. And just as Jesus said in Mathew 24, Israel would be destroyed and be made into wasteland. If you truly are a Christian, don’t ever think God is just going to let His sheep go astray. He will spank you because He loves you. If you don’t listen and stay in your rebellion the Bible is clear He will take you off this earth. Today is the day to get right with God, Jeremiah 3:22, 2 Chronicles 7:14, Hosea 14:4. Remember, your not in this alone and through Gods Word we have example after example of men and women that have gone through everything you are. Men who were known as Gods chosen and great men of God have all at one time went in their own direction and from the will of God. One example is Jonah and the whale. Go read his story. He outright said no to what God asked of him and their was a price to pay. He sent a storm into his life to wake him up and then he was swallowed by a whale. In the end he listened to God and helped many people. King David had a man murdered to steal his wife and thought nothing of it till a Prophet opened his eyes, and the price paid was losing his child. Was he forgiven? Yes, he cried out to God for forgiveness.

This world we live in is satans. If you are on his team you get fame, fortune, control, all this world can offer in his beast system. Reality is as Christians, we are direct enemies of him and under attack. Especially now in these Last Days. he only has so much time left and he is on a killing spree. Now is not a time to be in backslidden mode. You need to put on the full armor of God or fall just like the next guy even to the point of taking the mark. You need to protect your mind and your heart from evil. When you backslide something else has your heart. Most of the time it is sin, but not all the time. When something else has taken your heart you forget the Lord. I don’t know you and it can be a million things that are causing that. It’s you that has to get on your knees and cry out to God. You need to pull whatever it is that is affecting your heart out by the roots. Maybe God has blessed you so much you think I don’t even need Him anymore. Money and things can be both good and bad. Where your heart is , therein lies your treasure. Money is not the root of all evil, but the love of money. I can tell you this with all sincerity, if your not under some kind of attack by satan, chances are real good your not doing a whole lot to carry your cross. Whether it’s money, or your committing adultery or stealing or whatever, you need to get back to your first love, Isaiah 57:17-18, Revelation 2:4. Deuteronomy 8:11-14, Jeremiah 5:7-9, Romans 12:2. In this writing I am talking to Christians who have been saved and backslidden. Outside of that realm is people who say and think they are Christians and are not. Some may believe they are a Christian simply because they believe in a religion or go to church, or were even baptized and saved as babies, all of which doesn’t make you a Christian. False conversions are rampant now as false teachers have taken over the airwaves. Apostasy is happening just like the Bible said because the falling away were never Christians to begin with and fakes have brought the world into their churches to tickle the ears and preach a false Gospel. Because I have written at large about this already, You need to do your own heart check. Imagine dying and winding up in Hell because you were misdirected or never truly saved. Many people just have not truly repented of their sins. After conversion a Christian does, can, and will sin, but a Christian does not live in sin as a choice. A Christian is a new creation. Before backsliding it is important to know you were a  Christian to even begin with. God is maybe talking to you about your condition before Him, 1 John 1:9, 1 John 3:8-9. If you say you are a Christian and knowingly are sinning the Holy Spirit will be working on your heart. And like I said before God as your Father will discipline you. Trust me I know. When God doesn’t discipline in your outright sin and you are living in known wickedness and what you know is wrong and there is no response from God, this is clear evidence you are not His and never were, Hebrews 12:6-8. When you were first saved you should have trembled at your condition before a just, perfect God. You realized your sinful condition and need of a Savior. You should have hated who you were in that lost state. Hated your sin. We are to take no part in former sins and be on guard on the darts of the devil wishing to enslave us again. If we fall it’s just a matter of starting over again and running towards the Lord with a repentant heart and increasing our faith. Remember. We have already won the battle, John 16:33, 2 Chronicles 20:17, 1 Corinthians 15:57, Joshua 1:9, Romans 8:37-39, 2 Timothy 1:7, Ephesians 6:12-18, Galatians 2:20, Philippians 1:6, Romans 8:31, 2 Thessalonians 3:3, Deuteronomy 20:4, 1 John 4:4, Isaiah 41:10, Ephesians 6:10, James 1:12, Proverbs 3:5-6, 1 Corinthians 10:13, Romans 6:4, Ephesians 6:13, 2 Chronicles 32:8, 1 John, 5:4, Mark 9:23, Philippians 4:19, Colossians 1:13, 1 John 5:14-15, Philippians 4:13, 1 John 1:9, Luke 1:37, 1 John 2:27, 1 Peter 5:6-7, Romans 8:37, Isaiah 40:28-31, Psalm 34:17, Galatians 5:17, Psalm 23:4, Hebrews 4:16, 1 Timothy 6:12, 2 Corinthians 4:8, 1 John 5:4-5, Romans 8:5, but till we die, their will be skirmishes and wars along the way, but we can be victorious through our Lord and Savior. Sometimes trials and tribulation are Gods way of making us stronger. We may like to think things will reset instantly, and they do spiritually, but sometimes their are consequences for your sin that could even last a lifetime. Irregardless, God always has your back and never stops loving you know matter how deep a pit you have fallen in. Depression can set in. Doubts. Bitterness. Feelings of hate. Sorrow. Maybe your thinking that you have gone too far and that there is no hope for you. You have been thinking that it’s too late for you and you have brought too much reproach on the name of God. You took things way to far in your rebellion and backsliding. I’m here to tell you that forgiveness and re-connection with the creator of the world is going back to where you were saved and starting over and there is nothing impossible for the Lord. If you cry out to God for deliverance, God will deliver you over and over no matter how many times you say, “oops, I did it again.” It’s not too late. If you allow yourself to live in despair and guilt you can live for years like that and die in that state. Not victorious in your walk with God but worse off than before you even Got saved. 2 Peter 2:22, Proverbs 26:11. If your that state of mind you have allowed satan to enter your life and conquer you. Don’t listen to Satan! James 4:7. If you are listening to him it’s because your not filling yourself with the voice God through His Word. How many hours a day are you devoting to reading and learning truth verses letting the devil speak lies into your ear? God CANNOT talk to you unless you learn His Word. If you are still breathing there is hope for you. The blood of Christ will wash away your shame. Jesus said, “it is finished” on the cross. God will restore everything. Cry out for Jesus to deliver you now and He will. You think God wants to see you hurting and defeated? It wasn’t Gods fault you got to that point. He didn’t leave you. You left Him. Why stay somewhere you don’t have to stay? Jesus gave us victory. It’s time to grow like you never have in your life now, Jeremiah 15:19-21, Psalm 34:4-5. Maybe your unclear of possible sins that are separating you from God. You’ve never matured from being a babe in Christ and are pretty much spiritually dead or live your life with one foot in the world and one foot claiming to be a Christian. Only you can know what sin in your life has caused you to backslide, and the list is endless if you merely read the news today and see what is happening in the world now. Time to get out of the pit friend…..
